DENVER — For the first time this season, manager David Ross worked both of his catchers into the starting lineup in the Cubs’ 6-4 victory against the Rockies on Sunday.

Backup catcher Yan Gomes took his place behind the dish, and Willson Contreras got to rest his legs and serve as the designated hitter.
