There’s more alarming evidence that suggests it’s common for professional football players to suffer from chronic traumatic encephalopathy, also known as CTE, a degenerative brain disease.
At least one in four NFL players who died between 2016 and 2021 had CTE, according to a new study from researchers at Mass General Brigham. The findings were published on Tuesday in the British Medical Journal.
