The cryptocurrency world has been rocked by the sudden death of a major founder who was just 30 years old.
Tiantian Kullander, who was named in 2019 on the prestigious Forbes 30 Under 30 list, 'unexpectedly' died in his sleep on November 23, according to a spokesperson for his company.
The father-of-one was co-founder of Hong Kong-based digital asset company Amber Group, which was recently valued at $3 billion (£2.4 billion).
No further information surrounding his death has been revealed.
Tiantian, who was known as 'TT' by his friends and colleagues, was 'instrumental to the founding of Amber and a pillar of our success', Amber Group said.
The company said in a statement: "He put his heart and soul into the company, in every stage of its growth.
"He led by example with his intellect, generosity, humility, diligence and creativity.
'TT was a respected thought leader and widely recognised as a pioneer for the industry.
"His depth of knowledge, his willingness to collaborate and his desire to always help others benefited countless start-ups and individuals."
Tiantian, who previously worked at Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs as a trader, set-up the company in 2017.
The company have been left devastated by his passing, it continued: "TT was a devoted husband, a loving father and a fierce friend. His passing is a tragedy and our thoughts and prayers are with his family.
"He is survived by his wife and their beloved son. We kindly request that you respect their privacy during this difficult time."
His death comes just weeks after a cryptocurrency millionaire died after tweeting he feared the CIA and Mossad were going to kill him.
Nikolai Mushegian, 29, wrote in a tweet hours before his death: "CIA and Mossad and pedo elite are running some kind of sex trafficking entrapment blackmail ring out of Puerto Rico and Caribbean islands.
"They are going to frame me with a laptop planted by my ex [girlfriend] who was a spy. They will torture me to death."
However, his family said Nikolai had a history of mental health problems and do not believe his death was suspicious.
This is despite many in the cryptocurrency world in Puerto Rico believing his death came at a suspicious timing.
Nikolai was found dead in his clothes and carrying his wallet on October 29 at Ashford Beach by a surfer in the water.
