'Crying' mum puts items back, man shot in 'targeted attack' and updates as man found dead

'Crying' mum had to put items back on shelves after Tesco reject payment

A mum was devastated after Tesco rejected her form of payment meaning that she had to put most of her shopping back on the shelves.

She "cried her eyes out" after the supermarket would not accept her £50 school meal voucher provided by her children's school. She said that she was humiliated as she was forced to put items back.

A large queue formed behind her as she had to return almost £50 worth of items. The mum-of-two said that she felt "gutted", reported Stoke on Trent Live.

"I had to put almost £50 worth back so I can afford to pay my bills. It was heart-breaking, embarrassing and left us short on things for the week.
