Cruz Beckham has said his new single, Seeing Red, is about a “totally unserious moment of frustration”.

The musician, 21, is the third son of former footballer Sir David Beckham and Spice Girl Lady Victoria Beckham.

Following in his mother’s footsteps, he performs with his band, Cruz Beckham And The Breakers.

Speaking about the new single, he said: “Seeing Red is a comedic take on a totally unserious moment of frustration, in this case in sports.

“Everyone’s competitive nature likes to take over now and then, but it’s all fun and games. Seeing red is a nod to that exact turning point.”

Seeing Red is the second song released from his EP Wear & Tear, with the title track serving as the debut single.

Speaking about the EP, Beckham added: “Wear & Tear is synonymous to a life lived and all your life experiences so far – the good and the bad, the learning curves, and everything in between.

“No matter how different every human experience is, we all have had at least a few similar emotions that make us all human.

“We’ve been high, and low, in love and in pain, jealous, upset – we’ve lived and learned. We’ve all got our wear and tear.”

Beckham will tour the US in August – which will include dates in Chicago, Seattle, Portland, San Francisco and Los Angeles.

He will return to the UK for shows in Norwich, Sheffield, Reading and Leeds.

Wear & Tear will be released on August 21.

The musician released the double singles Optics and Lick The Toad last year and performed in cities including London, Manchester, Birmingham and Glasgow in early 2026.

He is in a relationship with singer-songwriter Jackie Apostel, who is 10 years his senior.

Beckham’s new single and tour comes amid a public family fallout with his older brother Brooklyn Peltz Beckham, who posted an explosive statement on Instagram accusing his parents of putting “Brand Beckham” first and announcing he does not want to “reconcile” with his family.
