Cruel woman stole £2,000 from her grandma after she was diagnosed with dementia

A cruel woman stole more than £2,000 from her own grandmother after she was diagnosed with dementia and moved into a care home, a court heard.

Gemma Jones, 31, defrauded Gwynfa Jones out of £2,746 over a year, using the money to buy clothing and household items, pay rent and get takeaways.

Just days after Mrs Jones moved into a care home in March 2018, her granddaughter began making transactions from her bank account, reports Wales Online.
