Cruel woman injected child with needles dipped in human faeces

A "wicked" woman repeatedly injected a child with needles that she had contaminated with human faeces.

Elizabeth Faragher was jailed after a court heard she purposefully injured a child, causing abscesses and walking difficulties. Paul Evans, prosecuting, said the child - who can't be named for legal reasons - was diagnosed with a medical condition when they were younger and Faragher, 43, was trusted to give them medication but on numerous occasions in 2016 and 2017 she deliberately soiled the needles before she used them on the child.

As a result of her cruelty, the child had "almost constant" admissions to hospital with infections so serious they were required to go to Alder Hey for treatment where doctors carried out invasive tests, biopsies and operations to try and understand the condition. Mr Evans said: "Since getting out of the unhappy and criminal orbit of the defendant, the only illness they have had is Covid," LancsLive reports.
