Workers at a rescue centre were stunned to find an adorable dog who had been dumped over their wall by heartless former owners.
The pup, who has been named 'Mac', is now being properly looked after by the team at RSPCA Hull and is hoping to find a new family to adopt him.
After staff posted about their surprise arrival on Facebook, people were quick to voice their shock over the previous owners' disgraceful treatment of their pet, Hull Live reports.
RSPCA Hull wrote: "Unexpected arrival last Sunday morning! When you arrive at work and discover a dog on the inside of the fence ready to greet you and its not one of yours.
"After some detective work and cctv footage we found that poor Mac (that’s what we’ve named him) was pushed over our perimeter wall.
"He obviously tried to get back to those that dumped him as his fur was caught in the barb wire and foot marks on the wall he was pushed over.
"Bless him he is now safely cared for and has touched the hearts of the staff and volunteers.
"We are currently in the process of assessing and preparing Mac for a future forever home. Please keep an eye on our website and social media for when Mac becomes available for adoption soon."
Many couldn't believe that a dog as cute as Mac could be treated so badly.
One person commented: "That poor boy, how anyone can treat an animal this way is beyond me."
Another added: "How anyone can do that I will never know. Poor baby. Hopefully his next home will take care and love him forever."
Another person wrote: "Thats absolutely disgusting behaviour. So cruel. I hope he finds his happy forever home soon."
