A teenager who lost sight in her eye after an alleged street assault is being taunted by heartless trolls.

Alanna Quinn Idris, 17, who had reconstructive surgery to repair her eye socket and cheekbone this week, is being mercilessly targeted on social media.
Her mum Jamie said: “There have been comments about her appearance. People have been horrible to her.”
After her first surgery the day after the alleged attack, Alanna was told there was just a 10 per cent chance she would see with her right eye again.
On Thursday, Alanna attended hospital to have the stitches removed from her eyeball — nine weeks after the alleged attack.
Taking to TikTok, Alanna posted a short video of herself in a hospital bed wearing a clear patch over her eye with the caption: “Surgery numba 3” and commented: “Went all good, thank you.”
And in an updated post on Thursday on the Go Fund Me page set up to help Alanna and her pal — which has already reached nearly €100,000 — Alanna’s mum Jamie asked people to keep praying and lighting candles.
Two males in their late teens were charged in connection with the alleged assault on Alanna and her pal and appeared in court in early January.
