Cruel duo in Halloween masks steal £25,000 delivery van in Cleadon and tell driver 'we'll chop you up'

Two people who stole a newspaper delivery van while holding its driver at knifepoint have been jailed.

William Bogie, 45, and Leanne Craggs, 43, donned children’s Halloween masks as they drove behind the delivery van in the early hours of May 15, 2022, before ambushing the unsuspecting driver as he stopped at the One Stop store in Cleadon, South Tyneside.

Bogie said he would “chop up” the delivery driver as he brandished a machete, before stealing his van - worth £25,000. Craggs followed behind the van in her Nissan Juke.
