Crude Prices Slip as Weekly EIA Inventories Fall Less Than Expected

Oct WTI crude oil (CLV24) today is down -0.50 (-0.66%), and Oct RBOB gasoline (RBV24) is down -0.88 (-0.42%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices today are posting moderate losses. Dollar strength today is weighing on energy prices. Crude is also under pressure after weekly EIA crude inventories fell less than expected. Losses in crude are limited by heightened Middle East tensions and the halt to Libya's crude exports that have taken more than 1 million bpd of crude off the global market.
