Crude Prices Finish Higher on the Outlook for Global Oil Supplies to Remain Tight

Oil United States OPEC

August WTI crude oil (CLQ24) on Thursday closed up +0.84 (+1.04%), and Aug RBOB gasoline (RBQ24) closed up +0.23 (+0.09%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices Thursday finished moderately higher, with crude posting an 8-week high and gasoline posting a 5-week high.  Thursday's weaker dollar was supportive of energy prices.  Also, the outlook for global crude supplies to remain tight in the medium term is bullish for prices.
