Crude Prices Fall on Concern Tariff Policies Will Slow Energy Demand

September WTI crude oil (CLU25) today is down -1.19 (-1.70%), and September RBOB gasoline (RBU25) is down -0.0336 (-1.53%).

Crude oil and gasoline prices are moving lower today.  Dollar strength is undercutting crude prices after the dollar index (DXY00) today rallied to a 2-month high.  Also, concerns that US tariff polices will lead to slower global economic growth and energy demand are weighing on crude prices.  Losses in crude are limited after the S&P 500 climbed to a new record high today, bolstering confidence in the economic outlook and energy demand.
