September WTI crude oil (CLU23) on Tuesday closed down -0.37 (-0.46%), and Sep RBOB gasoline (RBU23) closed up +1.65 (+0.60%).
Crude oil and gasoline prices Tuesday settled mixed. Bearish factors included a stronger dollar and an increase in Iranian crude exports. In addition, weakness in China's economy, the world's second-largest, threatens to curb its energy demand and is bearish for crude. Losses in crude were contained by tightness in global crude supplies.
