A Croydon businessman and a London-based Greek national have been found guilty of brokering illegal arms deals to send military planes and weapons to some of the world’s most dangerous war zones.
David Greenhalgh, 68, and Christos Farmakis, 48, acted as middlemen for the black market supply of ex-Soviet fighter jets, surface-to-air missile systems, anti-tank missiles and thousands of assault rifles to be transported to war-torn countries including Sudan, South Sudan and Libya.
