Adelaide coach Matthew Nicks will reach out to Eddie Betts after the club great revealed his hurt and anger at the treatment he received on the infamous 2018 pre-season camp.
Nicks, who was appointed senior coach after Betts had departed for Carlton, admitted he was saddened by his harrowing account of the Gold Coast camp and had checked in with his players on the issue during a tumultuous preparation for Sunday's clash against West Coast.
"This is a moment where we want to do the right thing, we're working on prioritising others, which has been my motto since I arrived here ... and part of that involves trust and part of that is putting others first," Nicks said.
