Two major new developments in the heart of London’s West End have been unveiled by the the Crown Estate.
The corporation said the schemes are part of the largest expansion programme in its history and will add almost 170,000 sq ft of office, retail and hospitality space in a bid to modernise some of the capital's best-known historic buildings.
The developments at 10 Piccadilly and 21-29 Glasshouse Street form the latest phase of investment across the estate's 10 million sq ft central London portfolio.

At 10 Piccadilly, the Grade II-listed building that completes the iconic curve of Regent Street and once housed the Swan & Edgar department store before becoming home to Tower Records in the 1980s, The Crown Estate plans a 90,800 sq ft mixed-use redevelopment.
It will provide 62,700 sq ft of office accommodation, a 26,400 sq ft hospitality venue across the ground, basement and first floors plus retail spaces.
Meanwhile, two existing office buildings at 21-29 Glasshouse Street will be combined through a retrofit project creating 63,000 sq ft of office space alongside 15,500 sq ft of new retail accommodation.
It follows the recent redevelopment of One Hanover Street, a 124,000 sq ft office scheme , as well as projects at New Zealand House, 10 Spring Gardens and 33-35 Piccadilly, announced last year.
