A scrambler biker was filmed zooming up and down a beach and 'doing wheelies' before having a 'Mexican standoff' with police.
Crowds gathered to watch the chaos unfold on Crosby beach in Merseyside shortly after 7pm on Easter Monday. Two police helicopters were spotted circling overhead for 'several hours' as the incident continued into the evening, the Liverpool Echo reports.
One eyewitness said the biker's pals 'even brought him petrol' as he rode up and down on the sand. A large number of officers, coastguard and rescue volunteers gathered at the scene.
