Vegan-friendly doughnut chain Crosstown Doughnuts is launching a second location in Bristol just over a month after opening its doors on Queens Road. The independent chain has grown in popularity since starting as a London market stall in 2014, specialising in sourdough doughnuts, seasonal flavours and a range of vegan-friendly options.
The company's new spot in Bristol will be a doughnut truck in Cabot Circus, serving up its range of doughnuts and coffee from this Saturday (April 1). For the first month of trading, customers who purchase at the Cabot Circus truck or via the Crosstown app for same-day collection will also be able to buy coffee and hot drinks for the reduced price of £2.50.
Seasonal flavours from the brand at the moment include peach and English sparkling rosé made with award-winning wine from Gusbourn in the Kent countryside and apricot and thyme. Typically a box of six of the brand's seasonal treats costs £26.95, while a dozen will set you back £44.95.

Located on Bond Street South, the van will be open Monday to Friday from 8.30am to 8pm, Saturdays from 9am to 8pm and Sundays from 9am to 7pm. To celebrate the new opening, the truck will be giving away 100 of their signature dark chocolate truffle dough bites to customers after 12pm on April 1 - so you won't have to worry it's an April Fool.
Crosstown's expansion to Bristol sees it set to join popular local doughnut makers, including Small Goods, the all-vegan Future Doughnuts and Pinkmans on Park Street. Recently Diggity Doughnuts in Bristol city centre permanently announced it was closing permanently, informing customers the decision was: "Just one of those things, sadly. Maybe expected too much from doughnuts."
Crosstown currently has 28 sites across the country, including Cambridge, Oxford, Brighton, and Bristol, as well as online nationwide ordering, events, catering, and wholesale segments. On April 15 the chain will launch another new store in the South West, with a site in Bath.
