Crossfire viewers were left unimpressed by the finale of the three-part BBC thriller which aired last night, concluding the series that had starred Keeley Hawes in the lead role.
The BBC One series followed former police officer Jo - played by Hawes, 46 - whose holiday is turned into a nightmare when gunmen attack a luxury resort in Spain.
Over the course of the episodes - which aired over consecutive nights this week - Jo attempted to rescue staff and fellow guests, and became embroiled in the incident.
The finale - which saw her return to the UK for the harrowing experience abroad - has attracted its fair share of criticism after being broadcast yesterday evening.
Following the episode, one viewer said: "Why on earth I wasted 3 hours of my life watching #Crossfire is beyond me." Another tweeted: "Good grief, that was dreadful."
"One of the worst series I've watched in a while. Absolutely pointless," said another viewer. Whilst a fourth said it was an "awful series" that featured a "ridiculous storyline".
One viewer felt it had a "totally unbelievable plot," whilst another warned: "Just wasted 3 hours of my life watching Crossfire on BBC1. If you haven't seen it yet don't."

"Crossfire promised so much in episode one [but] it ended up pretty dreadful despite a stellar cast," tweeted another following the final episode of the three-part series.
Others were less harsh, with one saying: "Finale may not have been as gripping as past two episodes but overall this has been a captivating series full of tension [and] drama".
A number of viewers enjoyed it though, with one tweeting: "Just watched the last episode of #Crossfire and enjoyed it. I took it for what it was, a drama made to entertain".
"Just binged watched the 3 episodes and I thought it was brilliant. Edge of my seat, tense, intense, gripping, emotional. Great TV," tweeted another viewer yesterday evening.
