Croke Park has been cut from the lists of proposed stadiums for Euro 2028 after the final UK and Ireland bid was submitted.
There are 10 stadiums listed as potential venues for the matches, with both the Aviva Stadium and Casement Park in Belfast making the cut. However, Croke Park did not feature on the submissions list.
The Aviva Stadium is described as "Dublin Arena" on the official list, as UEFA does not refer to stadiums by their sponsorship names. Casement Park is currently undergoing major construction works which likely won't be completed until 2024.
The tournament could allow for a cash injection of approximately €240 million to the Irish economy. And Cabinet has signed off on Ireland's participation in the bid for host status.
