Cristiano Ronaldo true transfer value revealed as Chelsea told price tag amid Graham Potter plan

Cristiano Ronaldo's true transfer value has been revealed amid an increasingly uncertain future at Manchester United. The 37-year-old striker has been dropped from the squad to face Chelsea on Saturday, October 22, after leaving Old Trafford early despite his side picking up an impressive 2-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur.

The Portugal international was heavily linked with an exit from United in the summer, with the Blues one of several clubs linked with securing his services. football.london understand that the west Londoners sounded out a move in July, with the five-time Ballon d'Or winner eager to ply his trade in the Champions League.

And according to ESPN, Ronaldo was even open to a move to Stamford Bridge. However, it remains to be seen whether Chelsea reignite interest in the Portuguese star, but if they do, Todd Boehly has been told how much it could cost.

Ronaldo, who sees his deal with United expire at the end of the season, is said to currently earn £385,000-a-week, according to the Daily Mail, which is around £20million-a-year. He's currently valued at £17.4million by CIES Football Observatory.

So, all in all, Chelsea could find themselves paying £56.4million for Ronaldo's services, should he pen an 18-month deal on the same wages at Stamford Bridge in January. Ronaldo's increasingly uncertain future at United falls in line with Graham Potter's desire to sign a striker in the upcoming transfer window.

According to French outlet Jeunes Footeux, the 47-year-old wants to sign a No.9 in January. The report states that former Arsenal target Jonathan David has been shortlisted and is being considered as an heir to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

Though, with Aubameyang aged 33, it seems that Potter is looking for a young striker instead of one in the final years of his career. But, the Chelsea boss has kept his cards close to his chest regarding a move for Ronaldo.

Speaking ahead of the west Londoners' home clash with AC Milan in the Champions League, he said: "We can spend all day with these questions, but I'm not going to speak about this. If they are not our players, I am not going to speak to them."
