Cristiano Ronaldo trains with Portugal teammates in Paisley

Cristiano Ronaldo has been spotted in Paisley as he and his Portugal teammates gear up for tomorrow night's Nations League clash with Scotland.

The global superstar took part in training at St Mirren's Sunkissed SMiSA Stadium this evening. 

The 39-year-old, whose former clubs include Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus, will be looking to make it another victory for the Portuguese in Glasgow on Tuesday night.

Roberto Martinez's side have won all three of their Nations League A1 matches since the return of international football last month.

CR7 scored the winning goal in the last game between the sides, as Steve Clarke's men came agonisingly close to a famous point.

The Al-Nassr striker also scored in a 3-1 victory for Portugal on Saturday, as they comfortable dispatched of Poland. Manchester City's Bernardo Silva was also on the scoresheet.

Portugal's national team is littered with top talents such as the aforementioned Ronaldo and Silva, with Bruno Fernandes, Ruben Dias, Pedro Neto, Diogo Dalot and Rafael Leao in their ranks.

“They do believe in themselves,” Clarke said of his players when previewing the game today. “They understand that we’re playing difficult opponents. They understand also that the squad could be stronger, everyone knows that. All these things are there to be seen.

“I don’t speak about it too much because I feel it’s disrespectful to the boys that are in the squad. We have to concentrate on who we have, who we have here. We have to go out against Portugal.

“We know we have to be very good at everything we do in the game. Hopefully we can get the result that might just change the whole mood about the place.”
