Cristiano Ronaldo sensationally claims he has no 'respect' for Man United boss Erik ten Hag

Cristiano Ronaldo has sensationally claimed that he has no "respect" for Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag as he breaks silence on his future at the club.

After refusing to come on as a last-minute substitute during the 2-0 win over Tottenham in October, Ronaldo left Old Trafford early. Ten Hag then made the decision to drop the five-time Ballon d'Or winner for United's following match against Chelsea by way of punishment.

Ronaldo has since returned to the first-team, as he played the full 90 minutes against both West Ham and Aston Villa in the league. Ten Hag and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner had appeared to put their issues in the past as they both focus on the job at hand.

The Portugal international was absent from the travelling squad for the 2-1 victory over Fulham on Sunday afternoon, as the 37-year-old missed United's final match ahead of the World Cup break.

However, Ronaldo has now hit out against his manager with a scathing series of comments that show just how bad the rift between the pair truly is. The former Real Madrid man said he feels betrayed by the way he has been treated at the club and that he is being forced out of Old Trafford.

In a Piers Morgan Uncensored interview (via The Sun), Ronaldo said: “I don’t have respect for him [Ten Hag] because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”

Cristiano Ronaldo's interview on Piers Morgan Uncensored will appear on TalkTV in a two-part special at 8pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
