Cristiano Ronaldo trained at Carrington on Saturday while Manchester United played Atletico Madrid in Norway.
Ronaldo wants to leave United this summer and he was absent due to family reasons for the club's tour of Thailand and Australia earlier this month. Ronaldo eventually returned to Carrington on Tuesday with agent Jorge Mendes as he held talks over his future.
United travelled to Oslo this weekend to play Atletico Madrid in a pre-season friendly and Ronaldo was not included in that squad, but the player did confirm on social media that he would play against Rayo Vallecano at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Responding to an Instagram post about his omission from the United squad in Norway, Ronaldo responded: “Sunday the king plays.” The Rayo Vallecano match is an opportunity for United's fringe players to get minutes and it's a chance to play alongside Ronaldo.
Regardless of the uncertainty around his future, Ronaldo looked in good spirits this weekend when sharing an image on Twitter with Charlie McNeill, Amad, Charlie Savage and Hannibal Mejbri at Carrington, seemingly training ahead of the Rayo Vallecano friendly.
Although Amad, Savage and Hannibal have all made their first-team debuts, McNeill is yet to make a senior appearance for the club. United's match against Rayo Vallecano is their final match of pre-season.
