Cristiano Ronaldo's goal celebration with Manchester United teammate Diogo Dalot explained

Cristiano Ronaldo brought up his 60th career hat-trick on Saturday with his treble against Norwich.

Almost all of them have ended with his synonymous ‘siu’ celebration, and the same was the case against the Canaries. However, the 37-year-old added an extra move after netting the winner in the 3-2 victory for Manchester United.

Ronaldo and Portugal teammate Diogo Dalot were seen performing a ski-like action shortly before their walk back to their positions, causing some confusion about what it was in reference to. But now United have revealed the meaning behind the celebration on their Instagram account.

Both Ronaldo and Dalot were previously pictured using pull-down gym equipment known as the ‘Concept2 SkiErg’ while in training. The former even uploaded a photo of himself post machine workout on his personal Instagram account earlier this month.

Now United have pieced the puzzle together in a post that shows both men using the equipment alongside a video of Saturday’s celebration. Ronaldo’s latest hat-trick means he has netted 30 trebles apiece both before and after turning 30.

It also takes his season tally up to 21. He is United’s top scorer this season by some distance, with countryman Bruno Fernandes coming in at second with nine strikes.
