Cristiano Ronaldo breaks silence in three-word message after Scotland meltdown

Cristiano Ronaldo has sent out a message to Portugal fans after his side fell to a disappointing goalless draw with Scotland last night.

Steve Clarke’s side held firm in the Nations League clash at Hampden Park to claim their first point of the group so far, with Ronaldo storming off the pitch at the end of the game.

The 39-year-old was furious with referee Lawrence Visser, who blew the full-time whistle right before Portugal could take a corner.

Ronaldo began gesturing towards the officials, waving his arms in the air, shaking his head and putting his thumbs down before marching straight down the tunnel.

Now, the former Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus star has broken his silence on social media, sharing a team photo with the caption: “We continue together.”

Tuesday night’s draw brought the Seleção’s winning run in the Nations League to an end, having won their previous three matches with Ronaldo scoring in each of them.

Ronaldo fever hit the country this week as Portugal prepared to take on Scotland.

The Al-Nassr forward had been spotted going down a slide at the luxury Cameron House in Balloch and hundreds of fans surrounded the footballing great as he trained with Portugal at St Mirren's SMISA Stadium on Monday.
