Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly asked to leave Manchester United this summer, with the striker eager to continue playing in the Champions League. The decision coming shortly after Todd Boehly discussed the possibility of bringing him to Chelsea this summer.

Chelsea are on the hunt for a new leading striker after Romelu Lukaku completed his return to Inter Milan on loan this summer for the 2022-23 campaign. Ronaldo emerged as a surprise target, but the possibility has become stronger after the Portugal legend's latest decision.
A report from The Times on Sunday revealed that he had asked United to let him leave the club this summer if a suitable offer comes in for his services.
