Cristiano Ronaldo arrived at Manchester United's Carrington training ground on Friday morning to train on his own - as the fallout from his tunnel strop continues.
United have confirmed the 37-year-old will not be part of Erik ten Hag's squad for Saturday evening's game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge after he stormed down the tunnel during their 2-0 win against Tottenham at Old Trafford on Wednesday evening.
Ronaldo was summoned to Carrington on Thursday afternoon for showdown talks with Ten Hag. The Portugal international's future is now in doubt, with rumours suggesting he could be transferred in January once the upcoming World Cup has concluded.
Ronaldo was pictured turning up at Carrington on Friday morning to accept his humbling punishment. It's unclear whether he will be reintegrated into the squad after Saturday evening's game. He has apologised for his actions, blaming "the heat of the moment".
United confirmed Ronaldo's punishment with a short statement on Thursday evening. It read: "Cristiano will not be part of the Manchester United squad for this Saturday’s game against Chelsea. The rest of the squad is fully focused on preparing for that fixture."
As reported by The Athletic, Ronaldo trained alone at Carrington on Friday while the rest of the squad prepared for one of the biggest games in the Premier League calendar. United have not confirmed whether the five-time Ballon d'Or winner has been fined.

Ronaldo was an unused substitute against Tottenham and made his way down the tunnel, without permission, in the 89th minute. It's believed he even left Old Trafford before the final whistle was blew and did not celebrate United's big win with his team-mates.
It was not the first time Ronaldo had stormed out of Old Trafford during a game. He did the same in August during a friendly against Rayo Vallecano. Ten Hag said at the time: "I certainly don’t condone this. This is unacceptable, for everyone. We are a team."
Ronaldo's apology read: "As I’ve always done throughout my career, I try to live and play respectfully towards my colleagues, my adversaries and my coaches. That hasn’t changed.
"I haven’t changed. I’m the same person and the same professional that I’ve been for the last 20 years playing elite football, and respect has always played a very important role in my decision making process.
"I started very young, the older and most experienced players examples were always very important to me. Therefore, later on, I’ve always tried to set the example myself for the youngsters that grew in all the teams that I’ve represented. Unfortunately that’s not always possible and sometimes the heat of the moment get’s the best of us.
"Right now, I just feel that I have to keep working hard in Carrington, support my teammates and be ready for everything in any given game. Giving in to the pressure is not an option. It never was. This is Manchester United, and united we must stand. Soon we’ll be together again."
