Cristiano Ronaldo arrives back in Saudi after Scotland stay

Cristiano Ronaldo has touched down back in Saudi Arabia following his three-day stay in Scotland.

The global superstar spent three nights in Glasgow and the west as Portugal faced Steve Clarke's side in the Nations League at Hampden Park on Tuesday.

The game - which won't be remembered for much aside from Ronaldo's outburst at the officials following full-time - ended 0-0, as Craig Gordon & Co. managed to keep a clean sheet to earn a vital point for the Scots.

Ronaldo played the full 90 minutes in Glasgow, but it wasn't the ex-Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus man's night in front of goal.

As he remonstrated with the officials, the 39-year-old stormed down the tunnel without clapping the travelling Portuguese support at the national stadium.

CR7 stayed an extra night in Glasgow, while the rest of his international teammates jetted back to Portugal and various other locations across Europe to return to club duties.

He was taken by private jet back to Riyadh, Saudi on Wednesday afternoon, after he was spotted leaving the Blythswood Hotel in Glasgow City centre before heading to Glasgow Airport.

Sporting a luxury Gucci tracksuit, the striker signed more autographs for fans, and was even seen in the spa facility at the plush hotel earlier that morning.

Ronaldo is now back in Saudi, and made a return to Al-Nassr training on Thursday ahead of their Pro-League match against Al-Shabab tonight.

He simply wrote on X: "Back @AlNassrFC," accompanied by a video of him walking into the training ground.

While things didn't go as he would've liked on the pitch, it seems Ronaldo enjoyed his stay in Scotland overall.

He spent Sunday and Monday night with the rest of the Portugal team at Loch Lomond's Cameron House.

The star also attracted plenty of enthusiastic fans at St Mirren's SMiSA Stadium on Monday afternoon, as Roberto Martinez's side trained ahead of the big game.
