Cristiano Ronaldo admits he doesn't respect Erik ten Hag in brutal attack on Man Utd boss

Cristiano Ronaldo has remarkably admitted he doesn't have respect for Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag as he feels he hasn't been shown any back by the Dutchman.

Ronaldo is set to blow the lid off his Manchester United nightmare in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan during which he claims forces have been conspiring against him since before Ten Hag's arrival. The Red Devils icon has endured a torrid time of it this season under the former Ajax boss who has been reluctant to use him for most of the campaign.

Speaking to Piers Morgan Uncensored, the United forward has surely ended any chance of reviving his Old Trafford stay with these latest explosive remarks.

"I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you," Ronaldo claimed. "If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you."

Ten Hag wasn't the only manager in Ronaldo's firing line, he also came after ex-United interim boss Ralf Rangnick and even claimed he'd never heard of the German coach.

"If you’re not even a coach, how are you going to be the boss of Manchester United? I’d never even heard of him." Seemingly no one is safe from the 37-year-old's verbal wrath.

The Portugal international then decided to take aim at one of his most iconic former teammates in Wayne Rooney, who had recently admitted he feels Ronaldo's presence no longer improves the quality of United's line-up.

“I don’t know why he criticises me so badly . . . probably because he finished his career and I’m still playing at high level." The five-time Ballon d'Or winner didn't stop there, he then proceeded to poke run at the fellow United legend's appearance.

"I’m not going to say that I’m looking better than him. Which is true..." he went on.

Perhaps Ronaldo's most damning comments came while reflecting on the club's culture as a whole, with the forward suggesting the Red Devils are in danger of being left behind while their rivals improve.

"I think the fans should know the truth," he explained. "I want the best for the club. This is why I come to Manchester United.

"But you have some things inside that don’t help (us) reach the top level as City, Liverpool and even now Arsenal... a club with this dimension should be top of the tree in my opinion and they are not, unfortunately."
