Cristian Romero has stated that Clement Lenglet is "going to add a lot to the group" following his summer switch from Barcelona. Joining Tottenham on a season-long loan move, the Frenchman has started the past two games and impressed in the process, notably in the 2-1 win over Fulham.
A player with a lot of experience at the top level following his four seasons with Barcelona prior to his loan switch, Romero has labelled his fellow defender as "excellent". The Argentina international has admitted that all the club's new players are making "a great squad even better" and that only bodes well for Antonio Conte's men going forward.
"We've built a good working relationship within the group since his arrival and we're helping him to integrate as fast as possible. As a player, he's excellent and he's going to add a lot to the group, which is going to be paramount for the year ahead, seeing as we're involved in many competitions where we want to be at our highest level. These types of players make the squad better, so it's very important to have them in our ranks," Romero explained in the club's matchday programme for the Marseille Champions League clash.
