Everybody likes to have a little treat when they get home from work or school, whether it's a bar of chocolate or a packet of crisps. But one little lad got more than he bargained for after discovering a huge surprise at the bottom of his crisp packet that could be a record breaker.
Ollie Skinner-Foster, 8, from Northampton, came home from school last week and cracked open a bag of Frazzles from the multipack his mum had bought from Asda. As he was munching down on the bacon flavoured treats he saw a mammoth crisp looking back at him.
His mum, Laura-Jane Skinner, 37, had bought a multipack of Frazzles for £1.35 but was not expecting to find the whopping crisp inside.
When Ollie found the huge treat he decided to measure it and found that is is just over 10cm (4in) long, and the family believe it could be one of the largest crisps ever to be found in this country.
Laura said: "We bought a multipack and it was in that. He came home from school and he always has a treat. He opened the packet and was shouting 'oh my god I've found the largest Frazzle'.
"He was so excited to find it. He was just showing everyone. I thought it was just two or three crisps stuck together but it's actually the width of the bottom of the packet."
Instead of chomping down on the treat, Ollie wants to put it on display in his bedroom after taking it to school to show off to his friends.
"He's not going to eat it. I've got it in a plastic wallet with the packet," said Laura.
"It's pegged up on the wall so no one can touch it until we get a frame. It's so it's something he can keep. He will be able to take it to school and show them. He is a big Frazzles fan. He loves them.
"It's the biggest crisps we've ever seen. I know sometimes you get big crisps in Walkers but you always do with them but not with Frazzles."
