Crisp Festival set to return to Dublin this summer

The perfect festival for crisp lovers across Dublin is returning to the city this summer. Eat Yard and The Barnard Shaw based in Glasnevin have teamed up for the return of the Crisp Festival.

The festival will be a four day affair taking place from August 17 to 20. Eat Yard first introduced the Crisp Festival back in 2018 in their Portobello location once they realised the love Irish people have for crisps and it has gone from strength to strength ever since.

Their website said: "The darlings of our nostalgic taste buds, we eat them as snacks, in sandwiches, as a stopgap dinner in the pub and party food. Crisps have always been there for us, so we decided it was about time we celebrated them once again!"

People can expect various different stands of crisps including a crisp tuck shop with some retro crisps up for grabs, a crisp tasting menu and blind crisp tasting competitions. There will also be a DIY crisp sambo making contest as well as bottomless crunch, crisp and pint deals, a crispy quiz and DJ's and music entertainment.

Eat Yard have advised that this event is not really family friendly, although children are welcome before 8pm there will be no children focused games or entertainment. Tickets are €10 and include a packet of crisps and a pint of your choosing on arrival.

General admission tickets are the same price for every day. Tickets can be bought from the Eat Yard website.
