A serial shoplifter has been banned from entering Liverpool City Centre for four years.
David Trueman, of no fixed address, was issued with the four-year Criminal Behaviour Order following a campaign of anti-social behaviour and shoplifting that has 'plagued' shops in the city centre.
The order means that 30-year-old Trueman is not allowed to enter the area bounded by and including Dale Street (Queensway), Moorfields up to and including the junction with Tithebarn Street, Bixteth Street, St Paul's Square, 43 Old Hall Street, parallel to New Quay and entrance to Capital NCP Car Park, New Quay to St George's Dock gates and then to The Strand, Liver Street, Paradise Street, Hanover Street, Ranelagh Street, Renshaw Street, Copperas Hill, Russell Street, Seymour Street, London Road, Lime Street, St George's Place, St John's Lane, Old Haymarket and Dale Street.

Trueman is currently serving a 16-week custodial sentence after pleading guilty to shoplifting at Liverpool Magistrates Court on September 21.
Community Policing Inspector Simon Newman said: “This order is good news for the retail businesses in Liverpool city centre who have been plagued by the Trueman’s shoplifting.
“Criminal Behaviour Orders continue to be an extremely effective tool and our successful application in this case shows our commitment to dealing robustly with repeat offenders who have a negative impact on the communities we serve.
“We hope this prevent any more businesses from being targeted and serve as a clear warning to others. Should Trueman breach the conditions of this order, he will be arrested, returned to court and may be jailed.”
