Crimestoppers is offering a reward of up to £10,000 to anyone who can provide information that helps find a man wanted in connection with the death of a teenager. The charity that helps fight crime across the country has named Ishmael Farquharson, who is aged between 30 and 35, on their 'most wanted list'.
Police officers say Sekou Doucoure, 16, was stabbed to death in Nursery Road, Lozells, on July 12, 2021. He was discovered seriously injured - and despite the "best efforts of officers and paramedics nothing could be done to save him", Crimestoppers said.
Sekou had previously lived in Nottingham where he had played for The Rossoneri, a youth club based in The Meadows, before the young goalkeeper had a spell in the Nottingham Forest Academy. Rodrick Maveso, founder of The Rossoneri, paid tribute to the youngster - who later moved with his family to Birmingham - last year.
