Crew returns to Earth after 241 days on International Space Station

A US astronaut and two Russian cosmonauts have safely returned to Earth after an eight-month mission aboard the International Space Station.
Nasa’s Chris Williams, alongside Sergei Kud-Sverchkov and Sergei Mikaev, touched down in their Soyuz MS-28 capsule in Kazakhstan on Sunday.
Their 241-day stint marked a significant milestone, being the first space mission for Williams and Mikaev, and the second for Kud-Sverchkov.
Williams conducted scientific research and technology demonstrations at the orbiting outpost during his mission.
The successful return highlights the enduring cooperation between Russia and the United States in space exploration, despite geopolitical tensions following the 2022 invasion of Ukraine.
