A Creetown runner has been Female Harrier of the Year by her local club Galloway Harriers.
Sarah Lindsay was presented with the award by her fellow members in recognition of her achievements over the year.
A delighted Sarah, 25, told the News: “With Covid I haven’t had as many opportunities to do competitive running as I would have liked.
“I completed the Carlisle to Gretna cross border 10k smashing my person best with a time of 47 minutes 46 seconds and managed to complete the Devils Foot half marathon running from Lauder to Melrose over the Eildon hills.
After lockdown I also managed to squeeze in the Glentress half marathon, which was off-road running through forest trails.
“As well as this I set myself a goal of running a half marathon every month for the full year of 2021 which I completed.
“To win the award had me overwhelmed and very proud.
“It shows how far I have came to where I am now.”
