Cream Sofas Are Fine, but Rhea Seehorn’s Moss Green Alternative Feels So Much Chicer – It’s All I Want in My Living Room in 2026

Rhea Seehorn.

Rhea Seehorn’s win at last night's Golden Globes (for Best Actress in a TV Drama Series, in case you missed it) has given me every opportunity to revisit her social media in the hunt for a glimpse inside her home. I found it, via a 2021 post, in which the Pluribus actress was seen watching an award ceremony from home (it was in the days of social distancing, after all).

While watching award ceremonies from home was different, there were some benefits: it allowed us to glimpse the furnishings in their home. In this case, her moss green living room sofa is unmissable.

I've long been an unashamed fan of traditional neutrals, especially when it comes to large, anchoring furnishings, like sofas. However, Rhea's moss-green piece (much like this one from Target) is an alternative that's chic enough to transcend the more fleeting sofa trends.

This post is already five years old, but it still looks as fashionable as the day she posted it. In fact, it's arguably never looked better, as experts explain this hue will top interior design trends for the year ahead.

Shop the Green Sofa Edit

'As homeowners increasingly want their homes to feel grounding and restorative, the popularity of colors and textures associated with the natural world continues to rise and rise,' comments Shelley Cochrane, Accessories Buyer at Furniture Village. Decorating with green is among the most powerful ways to introduce such an ambiance to your living room, and a sofa, like Rhea's, is the natural starting point.

'Green, a hardy perennial, will continue its prominence in 2026, especially in living rooms,' she says. 'Its connection to nature evokes feelings of peace and serenity, which will be especially welcome in the living room, where people tend to spend most of their time whilst at home.'

To bring the look to new heights, Shelley recommends pairing this hue with light wooden accessories, such as this beautiful bowl from Crate & Barrel. 'After a couple of years of dark woods proving popular, we can expect to see lighter wooden finishes come to the fore in 2026,' she adds.

Alternatively, if you want to experiment with Rhea's look without a big investment, choose a moss colored pillow, like this one from Wayfair. I suspect it'll look just as good in another five years from now.
