A man was taken to hospital after a crash in Lockleaze yesterday (July 17) that flipped the car on its side. The driver had collided with two parked vehicles on Dovercourt Road just before 3pm.
Police closed the road and an ambulance took the man to Southmead Hospital with an injury to his arm. Photos from the scene show the black Volkswagen turned onto its side with its windscreen smashed.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash to contact them with information. A spokesperson for Avon and Somerset Constabulary said: “Shortly before 3pm yesterday a car turned onto its side after colliding with two parked vehicles on Dovercourt Road. Emergency services attended and the driver of the vehicle, a man, was taken to hospital with an injury to his arm.

“The road was closed while the vehicle was recovered. Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to contact 101 quoting log 599 of 17 July.”
And a spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust said: “We were called at 14.52hrs on Sunday 17 July to a road traffic incident in Lockleaze. We sent a rapid response vehicle and a double-crewed land ambulance and conveyed one patient by ambulance to Southmead Hospital."
