A two-vehicle crash at Switch Island closed a lane and caused delays.
Merseyside Police was called to the busy interchange at 12.05pm on Saturday (June 10). Two cars were involved in a crash and both vehicles were recovered.
The crash resulted in a lane being closed. This caused delays on the M57 northbound around lunchtime, with the AA reporting delays of around 10 minutes.

Pictures taken at the scene show damage to the side of a white Ford. A grey Volkswagen can be seen being towed away.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson confirmed there were no serious injuries sustained in the crash.
