A 12-year-old girl who died after being bullied was sent a message in which she was called "useless" for not being able to kill herself, an inquest has heard.
Charley Ann Patterson was found dead by her dad at her home in Cramlington, Northumberland, on October 1, 2020. An inquest into her death heard how she had previously tried to get help from medical professionals after self harming on two occasions.
During the second day of the inquest at Northumberland Coroner's Court, a statement from Charley's mum Jamie Patterson revealed how her daughter has been sent a message which said "You're useless, you can't even kill yourself properly". She said Charley had received messages of that nature for a while and she told her to block the group on her phone, which she did.
