Strictly Come Dancing star Craig Revel Horwood shared details on his fiancé's new career path during an appearance on Thursday afternoon’s instalment of Loose Women.
The infamously harsh BBC judge sat down with the panel in the ITV studio, as Strictly alum Kaye Adams hosted, with Linda Robson, Jane Moore and Kelle Bryan also presenting.
Jane asked after Craig’s ‘better half’ Jonathan Myring, who has formerly been reported to be a gardener and is 22 years younger than Craig.
Craig revealed Jonathan is starting a new career path, as he said: “He’s studying like mad at the moment, because he’s going to be working in the ambulance services apparently.”
Craig, who has had a double hip replacement, then joked: “It’s going to be very useful seeing as I’m 20 years older than him,” while Kaye did a series of mock chest compressions in the air.
The happy couple met in 2018 on the Strictly arena tour after being introduced by a friend and while Craig is set to marry Jonathan, he has ruled out ever having children.
They got engaged in Tasmania in April 2020, when Jonathan surprised Craig during a trip to a national park.
Talking on The Steph Show, Jonathan previously described the proposal as a ‘slight disaster’.
He said: “I had a beautiful engagement planned in Tasmania, and Craig refused to go and sit on the banks of the river to look for platypus. So I had to frantically call him to go…”
Interrupting the story Craig joked: “That's because the last time we waited for platypus, it was four hours and we didn't see one. So I wasn’t going to sit through that again, was I?
“All I wanted to do was go back to the hotel and have a bubble bath. Well I jumped in the bubble bath and then Jonathan jumped in with me and proposed in the bubble bath with a glass of champagne.”
Craig previously opened up about the couple’s long term relationship, telling OK!: “There’s such comfort in knowing you have somebody that loves you and wants to spend the rest of their life with you. I feel like I have someone who has my back and I’ve got theirs.”
Craig was previously in a relationship with Britain's Got Talent puppeteer Damon Scott, but they broke their relationship off in 2016. Prior to that, Craig was married to Jane Horwood from 1990 to 1992.
