Former Rangers ace Craig Moore has detailed why he believes Rangers have suffered a stuttering start to the season.
Michael Beale has watched his side fall to defeat twice in the Premiership already with the campaign just over a month old.
Kilmarnock beat Rangers on the opening day of the season, while Celtic got one over their arch-Glasgow rivals in the derby just before the international break.
Rangers have also dropped into the Europa League after PSV comfortably dispatched the Ibrox club in Champions League qualifying.
Ex-Gers defender Moore believes Beale needs to try to find some consistency with his team selection moving forward, although admits that can be difficult with so many new players in the squad.
The Australian was also keen to defend Sam Lammers after the hefty criticism that has fallen on his shoulders following his big miss against Celtic last time out.
Moore told Go Radio's Football Show: "I think this team has struggled because of the lack of consistency in the starting 11. That's not really allowed partnerships to grow.
"Look, it's a tough job for Michael Beale to turn this around and find something that's going to work and work immediately. That's basically the situation he finds himself in now.
"Some Rangers fans might say I'm talking nuts, but I was at the game and everyone is talking about Lammers' huge miss. His desire, even when he was taking stick, to want to get on the ball and want to be involved in the game, that's what Rangers need. That's what Rangers need just now.
"He's taking abuse but he still wants to get on the ball, he still wants to get involved in the game and that's the type of player that Rangers need a lot more of. They are going to go through a situation now where everyone is under the pump.
"I watch individuals all the time because I want to learn and find out a little bit more. As I say, that's the one thing that stood out and that's a quality that I admire because I know it's a quality that's needed at the club."
Rangers make the journey to Perth this Saturday as St Johnstone host them at McDiarmid Park.
