Former Rangers defender star Craig Moore has given manager Michael Beale food for thought - by recommending Motherwell star Kevin van Veen to the Ibrox boss.
The Gers have had a relatively poor season in terms of goalscoring numbers in their striking department, with Antonio Colak, Fashion Sakala and Alfredo Morelos registering 14, 12 and 11 goals respectively. For comparison, skipper James Tavernier scored more goals from right-back - meaning they will need a solid talisman to come into the side.
With Morelos gone, it is likely to free up a large proportion of wages available to the Govan-based club, meaning they need to bring in a striker that is either prolific in Europe or at the worst case, prolific in the Scottish Premiership. And Van Veen could be the answer, with the Dutchman looking likely to depart Fir Park after his 25-goal haul left clubs across the continent salivating over his output.

That's according to former Rangers man Moore, with the Australian backing Ibrox chiefs to try and land the 31-year-old - by saying they could do a whole lot worse than attempt to bring him in.
Speaking to Go Radio, he said: "Kevin van Veen to Rangers, for example. You spend, say £750,000. A player that knows the league. He's not over the hill, he's 31.
"He's shown that he does it in this league. Sometimes you spend more on someone that there's a risk factor to it, coming to a new country, being able to settle in.
"I'm not saying Kevin van Veen starts for Rangers. But I'm saying that Rangers need two, three, four strikers. I'm telling you right now, there will be worse options out there..
"If you're dominating the ball and creating opportunities, he's a goalscorer."
