Craig Doyle has been handed a significant boost in the competition to be Phillip Schofield's full time replacement on This Morning, as one of his co-stars on the ITV show revealed he will be hosting again next week.
Since he made his debut as a guest presenter on the daytime programme last year, former Holiday star Craig has earned rave reviews from many regular viewers, with people calling for him to be given a full time role, after just one show at the helm. Over the last 12 months, the Irish presenter has teamed yup with the likes of Josie Gibson, Alison Hammond and Rochelle Humes to cover This Morning and, a few weeks ago, earlier tis month, hosted alongside Holly Willoughby for the first time.
Having hosted This Morning with now former colleague Phillip for a decade, Holly viewers she felt 'troubled and let down' by the scandal surrounding him and his affair with a young runner on the programme. After, an extended leave of absence, Holly has been back in a main hosting role for a number if weeks now and it will be Craig who joins her once again from Monday, July 3.

The news was confirmed by Alison, as she hosted Friday's episode, alongside Dermot O'Leary. As the pair took charge of a round of 12 at 12,she announced that This Morning's other gameshow, Spin to Win, would be making a return on Monday, with Craig and Holly there to present it.
And, while there are plenty of people out there who love the partnership between Josie and Craig, there is now a groundswell of support for a Craig/Holly partnership to be the future. Pushing for that outcome, one fan took to Twitter to comment: "Without a doubt Craig Doyle was the best person to take over from Philip Schofield… Holly & Craig together is without a doubt the person partnership !! Love it!"
Taking exactly the same stance, another tweeted: "The combination of Craig and Holly work BTW #thismorning @hollywills seems so much more relaxed with him. Keep it going, please."
