
Companies in charge of AI companion chatbots have been hit with legal notices to explain how they are protecting minors from encouraging self-harm and sexually explicit conversations.
The eSafety commissioner served the notices on four chatbots that offer human-like conversations, requiring the providers to reveal the steps they are taking to keep kids safe in line with Australian laws.
