Crackdown on 'dangerous driving' as car meets banned at three Leeds hotspots

People who attend car meets at three “hotspot areas” face being arrested as police take action on the “dangerous” driving.

Leeds City Council and West Yorkshire Police have been granted partial closure orders that will stop the unlicenced events across the city.

The order, which are in place for three months, will cover Lowfields Road, Thorpe Park and The Springs retail park at Colton as well as Knowsthorpe Gate and the Cross Green industrial estate.
