A number of wraps of suspected crack cocaine and heroin have been seized after a 55-year-old man and 63-year-old woman were arrested.
Merseyside Police confirmed the recovery of the class A drugs after officers saw a 55-year-old man involved in a number of drug deals on Peel Street in Bootle. The man was arrested and as a result, police searched a nearby premises.
During the search, officers found a large quantity of wraps of crack cocaine and heroin. A woman, 63, was also arrested following the search.

Sefton Police Facebook page shared the news of the arrests, with the pair from Bootle remaining in custody. The post said: "Operation Pelican Officers have this evening arrested a 55-year-old male and a 63-year-old female from the Bootle area for drug supply offences
"Officers have sighted numerous drug transactions within a short space of time on Peel Street, Bootle before detaining the male involved. The male has been arrested and a premises has been searched nearby. During this search, a large quantity of wraps of crack cocaine and heroin have been seized.
A female located within the premises was subsequently arrested. Investigations are ongoing and both adults remain in custody for questioning by detectives."
