Fans of Atletico Madrid have made a statement at a pre-season friendly on their thoughts of signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United.
Earlier this week, fans of the club had also launched an angry Twitter campaign, asking the club not to sign the Portuguese superstar, who of course formerly played for city rivals Real Madrid and scored more goals against Atletico than any club, notching 25 times in 37 meetings.
The 37-year-old has yet to return for United pre-season training under new manager Erik ten Hag with the Reds a matter of weeks away from kicking off their Premier League campaign. United's early inactivity in the transfer market and a salary reduction are among the issues that have convinced Ronaldo to try and seek a move away from the club, the Manchester Evening News understands.

In today's pre-season game against Numancia, Atletico fans brought a banner which read 'CR7 NOT WELCOME'.
Ten Hag was recently unable to reveal when Ronaldo will return to training, despite the striker showcasing his preparations on social media. MEN Sport reported on Saturday that the club will soon seek clarification of his return.
